Winkworth has expanded into Stratford-upon-Avon and the North Cotswolds following the acquisition of five-office independent agency Peter Clarke.
Nick Martiny Roberts, who owns the Winkworth franchise in Royal Leamington Spa, has led the deal to take over the residential arm of the family-run firm. The move gives Winkworth a significant presence in Stratford-upon-Avon, Wellesbourne, Shipston-on-Stour and Chipping Campden. The Peter Clark branch in Leamington Spa will now operate as Winkworth Leamington Spa.
Nick Martiny Roberts, who will open a Winkworth franchise in Royal Leamington Spa in 2024, said: “This is a significant expansion for us and we are delighted that an existing successful business with an excellent reputation and track record is now becoming part of the Winkworth network. The jewel in the crown will be the Stratford-upon-Avon office which will be named Peter Clarke in association with Winkworth, as well as strategic locations in South Warwickshire and North There will also be head offices for the Cotswolds.

Peter Clarke’s existing staff will continue to work under Winkworth’s new ownership, with Peter Clarke partner Michael Hawkins taking up the role of operations director and Barney Smith as area sales director.
