Estate agency Blackbear, owned by the Scarlets scrum-half gareth davishas acquired Tenby-based firm Chandler Rogers for an undisclosed fee, less than 18 months after opening its first branch in Haverfordwest.
The deal marks Blackbear’s third expansion in less than a year and a half, with the purchase of the long-established West Wales agency strengthening its presence in the Pembrokeshire market.
Martin Rogers, director of Chandler Rogers, said: “Chandler Rogers has always been about trust, service and local knowledge. From our first conversation, it was clear that Jamie and the Blackbear team shared those values and had the vision to drive them forward.”
“This deal ensures that our legacy continues, while also opening up new opportunities for our customers and community,” he said.
Gareth Davies said: “We love what Chandler Rogers has managed to do at Tenby over the years, as an independent they have not only survived everything from the pandemic to the recession, but they have done so in some style while competing with national brands.
“Martin has been amazing with us and we are very pleased that we managed to make a deal that gives Martin some well-deserved time off!” Gareth continued.
