Two self-employed estate agency models, IAD UK and Avocado, have announced a new partnership aimed at expanding their presence in the market.
The companies describe the move as a strategic alliance designed to help agents grow their businesses, although it is unclear whether the agreement includes a full acquisition of Avocado by IAD UK. Both companies have been contacted for clarification.
He says the combined operation will provide a comprehensive platform for agents looking to build sustainable, long-term businesses.
Lee O’Brien, MD of IAD UK, posted on LinkedIn: “After months of work behind the scenes, we have brought two businesses together with a shared belief that the future of estate agency belongs to empowered, self-employed agents supported by the right platform.
“Today, we are announcing a strategic alliance between IAD UK and Avocado Property, and it is our biggest step forward since launching in the UK.
“The market is moving rapidly. Over the next five years, the winning agents will be those who combine strong local expertise with infrastructure. This collaboration provides exactly that.”
He added: “Avocado Property brings: a marketing-led approach that drives results; a genuine “people before property” culture; proven momentum, with 5,000-family relocations.
“IAD brings: a self-employment platform designed to help agents earn more and grow faster; built-in systems, training and infrastructure at scale; a powerful European network of over 20,000
“It’s not about getting bigger just for the sake of it. It’s about getting better.
“Better support, better standards, better systems, better opportunities for agents to create something with real long-term value.
“And most importantly, being self-employed doesn’t mean going it alone. It means having ownership over what you create, supported by a platform that helps you perform at your best.”
