Nicholas Humphreys The Sheffield West office has been sold to experienced property professional Mark Linley following the retirement of long-time owners Nicholas and Sue Lambro.

Linley, who has worked with the outgoing owners for the past year, takes over the franchise with experience in property development, education and senior management. His background includes rental experience as a landlord as well as residential renovation and construction.
Linley said: “I am delighted to take over the Sheffield West office and build on the excellent reputation that Nicholas and Sue have established over many years. Having worked closely with them, I have gained a deep understanding of both the business and the needs of our customers.
“Our priority is continuity, maintaining the same high standards of service from the same team and the same office. At the same time, I am committed to further strengthening the business, especially as the sector prepares for significant legislative changes.”
Linley has completed over 30 Level 3 industry courses with organizations including the National Residential Landlords Association (NRLA). Property Franchise Group and Sheffield City Council. Training covers areas including compliance, rent law, HMO management and proposed tenants’ rights reforms.
He added: “As a landlord, I understand the responsibilities and risks facing my customers, especially with the changes to the law coming in 2026. My focus is on providing knowledgeable, reliable support to help customers navigate this evolving landscape.”
Nicholas will remain involved in the business during the transitional period, providing ongoing support and continuity, while Sue will remain in her long-term operational role.
