Zoopla has signed a new agreement OpenAI As it advances efforts to incorporate artificial intelligence into door-to-door travel.
gives a deal Zoopla Access to advanced AI models, tools, and technical expertise aimed at accelerating product development and introducing more sophisticated features to your platform. The focus is not just on improving property search, but on reshaping the entire process of buying and relocating to a home – from initial engagement to completion.
For consumers, it points to more personalized insights, better recommendations, and tools designed to simplify decision making. In the long term, Zoopla is targeting a more streamlined transaction process, with AI handling parts of the journey in the background to reduce delays and declines.
For agents, the strategy focuses on earlier engagement with potential movers, generating stronger leads, and improving conversion rates – ultimately with the goal of increasing both instructions and completed sales.
Zoopla says it has been investing in AI for more than 18 months, with continued testing of natural language search and AI-powered experiences in its apps. Early results demonstrate business potential: an 80% increase in listing views and a 150% increase in leads from AI-enabled users, improving the quality of matches between buyers and homes.
The Zoopla app in ChatGPT means property listings are searchable to a wider audience. This creates a new top-of-funnel channel for listings, expanding reach for Zoopla’s partners.
While AI platforms currently represent a small portion of property search traffic, Zoopla’s approach ensures it can capture that growth while continuing to invest in its own platform, where the richest experiences and strongest commercial results are delivered.
The bigger opportunity lies with its growing audience of six million homeowners who are already using Zoopla to track the value of their property and plan their next move. This audience, built over years, allows Zoopla to apply AI long before a consumer opens the search box: quickly identifying intent, providing personalized insights, and connecting motivated movers with the right agents and homebuilders at the right time.
Zoopla CEO Paul Whitehead said: “Innovation has always been at the core of Zoopla, and we have been investing in AI for some time to improve outcomes for consumers and customers. This agreement allows us to accelerate that progress, bringing advanced capabilities to Zoopla and helping us innovate faster.
“While much of the market is focused on AI-powered search, we believe this is only part of the opportunity. The real impact comes from using AI to better understand consumer intent, connect the right buyers and sellers, and unlock more successful home sales for consumers and our clients. This is where we are focused and where we believe AI will have the biggest beneficial impact on the UK property market.”
