New real estate talent acquisition role for former Colliers chairman

Tony Horrell

Executive search and advisory firm Madison Lincoln has appointed Tony Horrell, former chairman of Colliers UK & Ireland, as senior advisor.

The appointment comes as the company looks to expand its advisory offering and strengthen its engagement with senior leaders in the real estate sector.

Horrell has over 40 years of experience in real estate and capital markets. He led Colliers’ UK and Ireland business since 2010 and oversaw its growth to more than 1,000 employees across 16 offices.

In his new role, he will work with Madison Lincoln’s leadership team on strategic development, client relationships and market positioning, as well as support talent strategy and introduce the firm to senior decision makers.

Horrell said: “I have spent over 40 years in this industry building relationships and working with people, so this role is a natural fit. Madison Lincoln has built an impressive platform with a clear focus on quality, relationships and long-term partnerships.

“I look forward to helping the team strengthen connections across the market and unlock new opportunities. This role allows me to be closer to the breadth of the industry.”

He added: “Real estate at its core is a people business, and the ability to connect great talent with the right organizations has never been more important.

“Businesses today face increased regulation and ongoing uncertainty in the marketplace, making leadership decisions more important than ever. The cost of misplacing senior employees is significant, so taking a thoughtful, holistic approach to talent is essential.”

Tom McNally, co-founder and managing director of Madison Lincoln, said: “Tony’s appointment is a major milestone for us. As a growing business, we recognized the need to further strengthen our senior advisory capability and credibility in a competitive market.

“Tony brings unique experience, insight and relationships that will be invaluable to both our team and our clients.”
