Seven arrested after death of young estate agent

Seven people have been arrested after a young estate agent was killed in a multi-vehicle collision on the M25 near Hornchurch.

Six men, aged 19, 20, 21 and 26, and an 18-year-old woman have been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. All seven have been released on bail while the investigation continues.

An inquest into Haq’s death was opened at East London Coroner’s Court on 17 April.

The collision involved an HGV and three cars, including Ms Hoke’s BMW 1 Series, a Land Rover and a Vauxhall Astra Estate.

Senior coroner Graeme Irwin said, “Ms Haq was the sole occupant of her vehicle and died as a result of her injuries.” “The information provided by the Metropolitan Police Service was that Ms Haq’s death is being investigated as part of a wider investigation into dangerous driving due to the actions of other drivers on the road at the same time.”

Det Sergeant Ed Rulton, of the Met’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: “Our thoughts are with the victim’s family, loved ones and the wider community.

“The family, who are being supported by specially trained officers, have asked for privacy at this difficult time.

“Our investigation is ongoing and I would urge anyone with any information or dashcam footage, particularly any vehicles which may have been seen driving erratically prior to the collision, to contact police on 101, quoting CAD 6459/3APR or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.”

Complete inquiry will take place later.
